I bought some produce that came in this specially labelled biodegradable plastic bag. A comprehensive blurb printed on the bag suggested an ideal eco-friendly way to get rid of the bag was to compost it with your household scraps.
This appealed to me, so I gave it a go. That was five years ago. Each time I dig the compost over, the bag is still there. Turns out the only really biodegradable thing about it was the ink, which has long since faded.
