The pumpkins I wrote about in a recent column were the Austrian oil seed pumpkin variety. They looked impressive as they were growing, taste good, and the seeds are hull-less and very edible. One hint though; don't grow them near spaghetti squash - they get along a little too well, if you get my drift.
